Our hope is that we can offer you some insight, showing you the benefits, as well as possible frustrations, you may encounter when considering having a home inspection.
 
While we are a business obviously trying to market ourselves, we are firm believers in the notion that one shoe doesn’t fit everyone. There are many good inspection companies out there, but unfortunately there are plenty of questionable ones as well.

To Inspect or Not to Inspect... That is the Question
 
There are many different types of home inspections and reasons for having them, the most common being a pre-purchase inspection. This is when a home buyer or their agent arranges for an inspection to be performed to help determine the condition of a home prior to its purchase. Pre-purchase inspections are generally not required, but are increasingly becoming common practice because of the escalating costs associated with purchasing and repairing a home. It is also an avenue for accountability when the actual condition of a home doesn’t match up to the home buyer’s original perceptions. Nobody likes unexpected surprises!
 
Another type of inspection that is becoming more popular is what’s known as a pre-sale inspection. This is when the seller arranges to have an inspection prior to putting the house on the market. It allows for issues and/or deficiencies to be discovered and corrected before any potential buyer has had an opportunity to view the house. As you might expect, this can dramatically improve the buyer’s perception in the quality of the home’s condition. A pre-sale inspection can also prevent the frustration of trying to address a large number of home conditions during the negotiating process prior to closing.
 
Some of our other services that may be beneficial are warranty, maintenance, pre-renovation and problem solving inspections/consultations.
